President Biden has just pardoned more than 6,500 individuals with prior federal or D.C. convictions for simple marijuana possession. He called on governors across the country to follow suit. 

Biden also said the current classification of marijuana as a Schedule 1 drug “makes no sense” and ordered a review of how marijuana is classified under federal law.
